Holi-day
Holi-day 2013 will be on the Wednesday the 29th and Thursday the 30th of May. To get regular updates on Holi-day, please join our facebook page here
Holi-day is an annual 2 day non-profit event and camp over for people with additional needs and learning difficulties, their carers and families, all set at the beautiful 32 acre Holifield Farm in Gweek, West Cornwall . It is in it's fifth year. Holifield Farm Project is also a day care centre for people with additional needs. Each year we try and make Holi-day as environmentally friendly as possible, and this year we will provide all energy used on site from solar, wind and biodiesel and, as usual, keep use of disposable plastic to a minimum.
Holi-day is a fantastic event and a great opportunity to camp with your friends -if you want to- and have some fun. Entertainment starts at midday on the 29th - a grand opening with the colourful Los Samba band - and ends at 3pm on the 30th. If setting up tent you can arrive from 10am on the 29th(or earlier by arrangement). We are excited to announce we have Jonah's Lift to do a barn dance, Shallal dance theatre for a show and workshop, capoeira (a demo and a workshop), arts & crafts including knitting, felting and weaving, first aid workshops throughout, yoga, circus workshops, woodland walks and an art exhibition. There will also be face painting, Hula hoop workshops, a disco and karaoke. The Holi-Day Cafe will be serving lovely meals and drinks at a reasonable price, as usual.
