Holifair Family Festival

Holifair is a three day family friendly festival with over 30 live bands, workshops, cabaret, barn dance, kids area, DJ area, chillout space, wellbeing area and all set at the beautiful Holifield Farm in Gweek, at the head of the Helford Estuary in West Cornwall

The Holifair is now in its 6th year and gets more popular every year. It is set on the beautiful 32 acre Holifield farm; which is also a day care centre for people with special needs. Holifair is a community fund rasing event for the Special needs day care centre. Last year we managed to raise enough to buy a tractor! Each year we try and make Holifair as environmentally friendly as possible. This year we hope to provide all energy used on site from solar, wind and biodiesel and keep use of disposable plastic to a minimum.

Holifair has a main stage, Marquee stage, DJ area, acoustic and chillout area for all kinds of musical enjoyment - which at Holifair ranges from folk, gypsy, punk, blues and reggae all the way to dance. There is a childrens area with all kinds of workshops, storytelling, fun and games as well as a Wellbeing Area with alternative therapists, yoga classes and practitioners of the mysterious and magical. There are all kinds of festival treats such as poets, fire poi performers, walkabout acts, solar telescopes, bellydancing and much more to be announced...

Bands that are confirmed so far include: 3 Daft Monkeys, Kaya, Tom Dale, Kabasa, Lionstar, Craic Horse, Hanterhir, Zamba, Julian Gaskell, Kernow Vibration, Phat Bollard, Quijada, Pure Mischief, Tony Haven, Rhi Write Rebellion, Captain Skalet, Toucan Dance, Eyelids, Justin Good, PunchJudy, Joss White and The Klicks, All City Chon...more to come!

MUSIC: We are putting together the line up for Holifair 2012...listening our way through loads of your lovely music. Please get in touch if you have anything fun and frolicking to offer! We are looking to have some more world music this year! Please send us your tunes using our Soundcloud dropbox here for free. UPDATE: Most of band slots are now full, thanks for your overwhelming response. If you are an aucoustic musician, please do come play around the bonfire by night!

It can be emailed to holifair@yahoo.co.uk UPDATE: We think we have enough food stalls now, but anything else is welcome.
