Cornwallis Blessing

On Friday the 11th of November 2011 one of the residents of Cornwallis Nursing Home and his fiancée of ten years were finally able to have the ceremony they had always dreamed off. Brian Ridehalgh and Catherine Martin, a trainee here at Holifield Farm Project, were blessed overlooking St Ives bay by Father Andrew Goff, from St John’s in the field church in St Ives.

The service was packed as Brian and Cathy made their vows and their dream finally come true. The blessing was made possible by the support of many of the couple’s friends, particularly the staff of Holifield Farm Project in Gweek, near Helston and Cornwallis Nursing Home in St Ives.

Both Brian and Cathy were over the moon and thanked everyone for making the day which seemed unattainable for so long, such a magical blessing.

Kate Blair, the manager of Cornwallis Nursing home Commented “It has been a pleasure for everyone involved. We are delighted for Brian and Cathy and wish them every happiness”.
